Slow furniture from a small workshop

We make fewer pieces, better. Every table and chair is built by hand, signed by its maker and meant to last a lifetime.

What we stand for

How we choose to work

Joinery over screws

Mortise and tenon, dovetails and pegs. Furniture that can be repaired instead of replaced.

Wood with a past

Certified oak and walnut, and teak reclaimed from old Javanese houses.

Fair work

Our makers are paid above the regional wage and share in every year's profit.

Our lead maker

Lead maker

"A good chair should outlive the person who made it."

Pak Joko has been a carpenter for twenty-five years. He trains every new maker in the workshop and checks each piece before it leaves.
